Biography:
The ROSSI ALABASTRI Workshops:
Italian family business located in Tuscany (Volterra) founded at the beginning of the 20th century. It has specialized since 1912 in the production of alabaster sculpture and offers a selection of traditional sculptures (basins, bust, cup, etc.), very active during the Art Deco period 1930/40. Alabaster is a clear mineral material strongly resembling marble (see Carrara marble), easier to work with and more friable, which has made the city of VOLTERRA famous since the time of the Etruscans.
