Large artistic ceramic dish with fantastic bird decor made by Marie-Henriette Bataille in DOUR.
Rare and very good quality, in perfect condition.

DOUR's artistic ceramic workshop was founded in 1951 and operated by artists such as the painter Roger Somville and his wife Simone Tits, Monique Cornil, Therèse and Marie-Henriette Bataille, Claire Lambert, Paul Timper, Monique Cornil, Louis Van De Spiegel. They will mainly produce sculptures, vases, murals, and dishes with naive animal and plant decorations in the spirit and artistic movement of the time. Comparable to Vallauris in France, we will note fantastic birds and fish, characters and other flowers, in delicately raw and colorful ceramic.
