Covered spindle vase forming a casserole, bronze mount, circa 1850.
Porcelain shaped piece made in 3 parts, the central part is separated from the base by a bronze spacer, all surmounted by a beaded belt cover and bronze fretel, piedouche resting on a base in pearl bronze.
The vase is entirely hand painted, polychrome decoration on a royal blue background decorated with knotted ribbons, garlands of flowers and foliage, gold scrolls in relief and yellow medallions.
