Rare bronze Art Nouveau chandelier, dating from the 1900s.
Four female faces supporting lighting brackets arranged in a frieze, very marked "whiplash" plant and floral decoration.
Formerly mounted on gas (see gas taps on the last photo), proof of the time of this lighting.
In good condition and complete, original patina, electricity revised.
The theme of women and the floral theme, united here, form an exceptional chandelier. We unfortunately did not find, in our documentation, the artist who would have drawn this lamp / luminaire but it seems to us to be close to the rare sculptures of woman "Bohemia" in bronze of Alfons Mucha or Maurice Bouval.

Although found in Belgium, it does not seem to bear any resemblance to the work of Victor Horta or Henry Van de Velde. Certain artists also represent this Art Nouveau period particularly well (also called Liberty, Jugendstil, Art Nouveau, Arts & Crafts, Wiener Werkstätte, ...) to remain in the floral and feminine style of the "Bohemian" type of this light. , let us note Hector Guimard, Paul Follot, Maurice Dufrène, Georges de Feure, Jean-Auguste Dampt, Tony Selmersheim, Gustave Gurschner, Maurice Bouval, Fernand Dubois ... and of course Alfons Mucha.
