Biography:
Anne Body (Anne-Marie Body) - (1939 - 2016)
Artist engraver, draftsman, painter and poet.
She specializes in etching (etching, drypoint, aquatint) and illustration (painting, wash, drawings, monotypes). His work full of feminism is poetic and surreal. In the manner of Alfred Jarry, influenced by the Cobra group, Pablo Picasso and Jean Cocteau, an expressionist expression of gestural, primitive, childlike type. An erotic and provoking world.
Born in Charleroi on July 16, 1939 and since 1940, she lives in Namur. From the early 1960s, she studied decorative arts at the Sainte Marie Institute in Brussels and then enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts of Namur in the Arts and Graphic Arts courses, completed her studies with of the "1st Prize with Great Distinction".
