Exceptional and rare Art Deco porcelain vase from SEVRES, stylized decoration by HENRI PATOU in 1927.
Large ovoid porcelain vase with a flat shoulder, cylindrical neck, with bas-relief decoration of a bather carrying water in lush vegetation with animals (deer, gazelles).
Gray enamels, heightened with gold on a white background, produced by Charles Fritz.
Signature and stamps on the reverse, mention "Ch. Fritz after. Patou" in the decor (see photos)

HENRI PATOU is a French decorator of the Art Deco period, former student of Félix Aubert, active in Sèvres between 1922 and 1942, he then joined the earthenware workshop and participated in the creation of services and pieces of great modernity and quality. During this Art Deco period, the decorations regained their strength and creativity thanks to many artists such as Jacques Emile Ruhlmann, Henri Patou, Louis Süe, Anne-Marie Fontaine, Jean Mayodon, Joseph Guardiola, Charles Fritz, André Naudy, Germaine Jouenne ... Decor also produced by Henri-Joseph Lasserre.
